TLS Mourns the Death of Frank Woolever

Frank Woolever, president of the first TLS Board of Directors as well as former chairperson and long-time member of our Program Advisory Committee, died on July 5 following an illness and hospitalization. 

In the book Be the Change, which chronicles TLS' first 30 years, Frank was described this way: 

"With support from board members and TLS staff, he successfully helped to form the philosophy of flexibility within the agency.  His staunch personal and professional advocacy for persons with a mental disability gave others "permission" to become advocates as well."

Frank kept TLS in his heart each year since its inception, attending anniversary parties and actively participating in even the most recent Program Advisory meeting in June.  His commitment to establishing and supporting a strong philosophical foundation for the agency was key to the strength that TLS maintains today.
