Why give to TLS?
Because you recognize that we support people whom you, also, would like to help.
For example, some of those receiving Bridge Services live on truly poverty level budgets. Each month they face difficult choices about whether or not they can pay for heat on top of rent, for a telephone as well as for food, for a bus ride rather than walking. If they have children, TLS staff struggle to find beds and clothing for them because our funding is designated for adults only. If they have family members who live in another state, travel to visit them is too costly, even though having the support of your family makes a critical contribution to mental health.
Other individuals whom TLS serves show us that they have a talent and interest in developing their gifts in art, music or writing…but not enough money for supplies, lessons or a computer... each of which would greatly enrich their lives.
TLS has created a Special Needs Fund in order to help people in these types of situations.
