Who We Are
We serve individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health issues, and traumatic brain injuries, and provide support to many of their families. We are more than two hundred professional individuals dedicated to helping you to achieve what you want in life.
We believe that this is most likely to happen if we partner with you rather than lead you to your goals. Our vision is to create services which we ourselves would be happy to use if we needed them.
Transitional Living Services began in 1974 with twenty staff committed to helping individuals who were being de-institutionalized from State facilities to live in the community. Today we offer not only residential services but support with employment, education, medical and substance abuse issues, community involvement, habilitation activities and service coordination to many hundreds of people each year. We are always striving to respond to the changing needs of our community. Some of the people we serve are veterans, some do not speak English as their first language, some have hearing impairments, some are labeled autistic. Our vision of service encompasses them all.
